ImagePHAPCares Foundation Inc. (“PHAPCares”) is a non-profit, non-stock private organization established by a group of pharmaceutical and healthcare companies who are members of the Pharmaceutical  & Healthcare Association of the Philippines (“PHAP”).  Incorporated in 2003, PHAPCares is mandated to become the social development and philanthropic arm of PHAP with the responsibility of setting up and managing the association’s integrated medicine donation program for indigent and other disadvantaged  Filipinos.  All member companies of PHAP are mandated to become members of PHAPCares as well.

What We Do
ImageThe  Medicine for Indigents Program  is the flagship program of PHAPCares.  It is being implemented in partnership with the Department of  Health  (DOH). A  Memorandum  of Agreement  between PHAPCares  and the DOH was signed on September 29, 2003  to signify PHAPCares intent to donate P100 Million worth of quality medicines to DOH for distribution, free of charge, to indigent patients in  72  DOH-managed hospitals nationwide.  In choosing program beneficiaries, the DOH hospitals apply their existing beneficiary screening protocol  to ensure that only indigent patients avail of free medicines from the program.

PHAPCares Names New VP    

The Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Association of the Philippines has recently named Mr. Reiner W. Gloor as interim executive director and concurrent PHAPCares Foundation vice-president.

Mr. Gloor replaced PHAPCares vice-president and chief executive officer Mr. Leo P. Wassmer, Jr. who retired in December last year.

PHAPCARES HONORS TOP FIVE CONTRIBUTORS

 

AS a way of expressing its gratitude for their generous donations, the PHAPCares Foundation has awarded the five highest medicine donors for the year.

PHAPCares has been recognizing top donor member-companies as a simple gesture of showing its appreciation to those who have made medicine donation to the less privileged possible.
